After spending the morning with my Host family and my HD's brother's family (3 kids + my 2 kids), playing with them and trying to help out in the kitchen (No I wasn't much of a helper since my HM ordered the Turkey and stuffing at the club (sports club the family is in)), so she just did the aside food. We finally ate "Diner" around 3ish and stayed at the table for 1,5h, talking, drinking etc. I think it's the first time my HD and I speak that much... It was nice. I am not used to have family diner since I came here because my family never eat together!!
Then around 7:30, I went to meet my friend Yane and we went shopping for the Black Friday (who started at 7pm in one of the Mall next to our town). Mélanie met us later and when we were done there, we went to another Mall that opened a little later (but it was so crowded that we didn't stay long). We came home around 2:30, after I spent about 300$ .... I feel bad when I think about all that money.... BUT I also feel GREAT when I thing about everything that I bought!!!!! (Boots (x2) - 4 sweaters - shirts - shorts ..)
Anyway, I really had a great day, and am happy that I was able to live Thanksgiving here in USA. I am a little disappointed though, because it wasn't as much as I expected. We are not used to have family diner, and I never feel really included in the family, so I guess it was better that I thought it would be with them, but still not as I expected it to be.
Après avoir passé la matinée avec ma HF et la famille au frère de mon HD (3enfants + les 3 miens), à jouer avec eux, essayer d'aider dans la cuisine (je n'ai pas vraiment aidé, sachant que ma HM a commandé la Dinde et la farce + sauces au club de sport dans lequel la famille est inscrite), donc elle avait juste à faire les accompagnements. On a fini par "diner" vers 15h et sommes resté à table 1h30, à parler, manger, boire etc... Je pense que je n'ai jamais autant parlé à mon HD... C'était sympa. Je n'ai pas l'habitude d'avoir de repas de famille, car ils n'en ont jamais!!
Vers 19h30, j'ai rejoins ma copine Yane, et nous sommes allé faire du shopping pour le Black Friday (qui a commencé vers 19h dans le Mall près de chez nous). Mélanie nous a rejoint un peu plus tard, et quand on a fini, on s'est rendu à un autre Mall qui a ouvert un peu plus tard (mais il était tellement rempli de monde qu'on n'est pas resté si longtemps que ça...). On a fini par rentrer vers 2h30, après que j'ai dépensé environ 300$.... Je me sens mal d'avoir dépensé tout cet argent... MAIS je me sens aussi TELLEMENT BIEN quand je pense à tout ce que j'ai acheté!!! (2 paires de Boots, 2 gilets, 2 pull, 1 t-shirt, 1 short...)
Bref, j'ai vraiment passé une super journée, et je suis heureuse d'avoir pu vivre Thanksgiving ici aux USA. J'ai été un peu déçue cependant, parce que je m'attendais à plus. On n'a pas vraiment l'habitude d'avoir de repas de famille, et je ne me sent généralement pas vraiment inclue, donc je pense que c'est mieux que ce à quoi j'aurais pu m'attendre, mais ce n'était toujours pas ce que j'attendais.
